Hi i'm back again!! so fun these days.... went to yvette's sis's friend's place to stay for the weekend. tt was friday night, so basically they treated us to dinner at a chinese restaurant (YESH!! FINALLY SOME CHINESE FOOD!) and it wasn't too bad at all! i even brought home the chopstick cover with the instructions.. hehe (they insisted on me taking home the chopsticks as well -_-") but it was fun!
Then we went to Tesco, the biggest supermart in UK. and boy it was big! maybe they have a bigger one somewhere else but this branch was bigger than GIANT at IMM! well bought groceries and went back to their place to watch movie and then zzz.
sat. went shopping at Loughborough (oh did i forgot to tell u the town name? yea it's called Loughborough, pronounced as "lofbrough") and we shopped and i bought jeans and t-shirts! (wah seh the jeans cost me 105 SGD but it was originally 400+ SGD) haha it was like a budget shop and yvette bought diesel jeans for 90 SGD when the original price was 300 SGD (and we confirmed tt by going to a diesel shop in another town and the price there was 240 SGD!) then tat very night we treated her sis's frens to dinner at this malaysian indonesian restaurant.. which cost us 20 pounds each.. which means 60 bucks! O_O" can u imagine how much i spent that day ALONE? like SGD200+ !!!!
Anyway, we went clubbing that very night. in fact we were invited to a so called "chinese party" at down town. LOL "chinese party" sounds really weird but we decided to give it a try. Then we went to the club at sch but it was the wrong place, so we had to go to this place called "echo" which had a BLOODY LONG queue! gosh how popular is it!? then when we thought we had to queue, the bouncer was like:" chinese party? come here~" and started waving his hands at us. LOL i almost wanted to laigh my ass off. Was this some sort of VIP function? then as i walked past, some people were staring at us. NOT GOOD, i thought to myself. but everywhere in UK there are sure racist people and the same goes for UK. but anywayz, when we went in, it was sooo weird. coz' seriously the place was filled with CHINESE people (from CHINA) and ok i have to admit some guys dressed pretty decently and looked quite good but the girls dress like wad ah lians would dress... but, they dress in BLACK. hah... and seriously, CHINESE people cannot dance!! i duno if u've been to a club where u see many good chinese dancers, but the party i went, i was practically astonished at how they dance! i stood there, mouth gaped wide open and stared at how they dance. i think chinese people have no sense of rhythm or the "kick" to dance smoothly. Me, being a chinese, verified that. When i tried to dance, i was also laughing at myself for being so rigid!
Soon our side merged with the main dance floor and i found myself in the other main dance hall where all the hotties are. there was this cute guy holding the door for us when us chinese invaded their dance floor. some simply smirked at us for entering their dance floor. still we went in, and i said "thanks" to the cute guy holding the door, at first i thought he didn't hear, but then later he turned to me and smiled!! *awwwww* almost melt away that instant!!
So off again i was, dancing like nobody's business.. i reeked of smoke and ciggies and alcohol later but i think the experience was great!! now i can't wait to go another club to see hot guys.. hahaha *oops nose bleed*
alrighty, for all those waiting for the pics i took, they are in the YAHOO photo albums and the link is on the right ----> under photos!
have fun @ attachment folks
Cheers

Baka a.k.a Paboya updates:
Hey guys!
Haven seen ya all in like 5 days and I’m missing u guys already!! *muackz* Life here is rather fun and exciting but I also feel redundant like what yijia says… I’m surrounded by all the students studying PhDs or Masters! *sobz* but everyone here is real friendly and nice! Got cute guys! Hehehehe one is nerdy the other is cool. English and greek. Hmmm.. will post pictures up another day… today I’ll just talk about my past few days here!
1st day march 4th: reached airport at 10.30am…. horrible trip from the terminal (we were at a secluded area -_-) to the immigration place. ARGH yakult and milo were confiscated from yvette’s luggage coz’ no dairy products should be brought in. DARNED! My yakult!! Anyway, left the airport and dragged luggage EVERYWHERE!! From taking heathrow express, to taking local tube access… GOSH wth man!! Do u actually BLOODY know how heavy those things ar?? And they have no lift nor escalators! F**K!! BUT, people in UK are SOOOOO nice!!! They are so many people who came to help us each and everytime we had difficulty carrying the luggage up the stairs! Yvette’s luggage was soooo BIG that 2 guys had to help her carry the luggage up! 1 of them helped me first, b4 he went back down to help her! And hey! The stairs are not just 1 single flight, they are SOOOO many of them! *pengz* ANYWAYz, I’m so grateful guys and GIRLS came to help! Even those with boyfriends help out! A couple! Can u imagine? At first the girl told her bf to help, then she herself came to help but her bf said he could manage! Soo sweet!! *awwww* so, after a gruelsome 6 hour move?about, we got to Leicester in like 10 pieces. Nah just kidding. We’re alright but we needed tons of BENGAY!
Day 2/3: stayed at stoneycroft hotel and it was… not bad. The bed however, was even smaller than my QUEEN size bed? And for 2 people? Gosh u can’t imagine me dears~~ but I love the breakfast!! It was sooo sumptuous~~ and the weather was cold but amazing!
Monday: it was a SNOWY DAY!! Wooo~~ it snowed little at first then it got rather huge… I took a mini vid but I can only upload it when I return to sg… sianz.. heheh but we went to visit our supervisors and boy were they surprised!! Turns out that the director hadn’t informed them about our early arrival unlike the last batch, which was in april. So they didn’t expect us now at all!! -_- Dr zaman, wad have u been doing? Y didn’t u contact them!?
Then, I and Yvette had to choose btw Dr. Andrew Fry and Dr. Julie Morrissey. Seriously, we couldn’t decide coz’ we weren’t too interested in either topic. Dr Fry was focused on Biochemistry while Dr. Morrissey was doing genetics and MRSA. ARGHHH reminds me of Dr. Gordon LIM!!! >_<” lol but in the end we did choose using scrap paper and drawing lots and I got Dr. Morrissey! Hahaha boy was I glad now! They’re a bunch of lively people and my lab has more guys!! *smirks* hahahahahaah and there’re 2 cute ones I observe… 1 English and the other from Greece. Fantastic yea? I’ll show u the pics another day.. oooo so exciting.. lol
Niwaez, I gtg now.. the I just destroyed a cable and I am DARN pissed about it!! Will update soon when I load the pics up!
Meanwhile, cheerios to u lovey doveys!
